AquaStep ("the App") is a wellness-oriented step companion designed to turn everyday walking into a calm, restorative experience. We value your privacy and aim to keep your data use as minimal and transparent as possible.
AquaStep may request access to Apple HealthKit step count data and motion data in order to power core in-app features, such as step tracking, progress updates, and the underwater visual experience.
HealthKit step count data is processed on your device for app functionality. AquaStep does not write health data to HealthKit.
To understand app usage, monitor app stability, and improve the overall product experience, AquaStep integrates third-party services, specifically Google Firebase (including Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics).
These third-party services may automatically collect non-personally identifiable information, such as your device model, operating system version, app usage events (e.g., screen views and feature interactions), and crash logs. This data is collected solely for the purpose of analyzing app performance and fixing bugs. We do not use this data to track your identity.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your HealthKit step count data for advertising.
Some app usage data may be processed by our analytics service provider, Firebase, solely in order to deliver the analytics and crash reporting functionality mentioned above.
AquaStep does not use advertising SDKs to serve personalized ads. AquaStep is not designed to track you across third-party apps or websites for advertising purposes.
AquaStep may store certain app data locally on your device, such as settings, progress, unlocked content, and interface state, so the App can function properly and preserve your experience between sessions.
